Summer is completely and totally unbearable. The heat sucks, total boredom sucks, lack of school sucks (some of the time); the only thing that doesn't suck are vacations, and even then this year we went to Florida. Where the weather was total suck.

Anyway so I've been passing my time by reading/writing/drawing/looking at Hetalia fanart, particularly The Nordics who manage to be extremely cool, cute and hot at the same time. And that's just canon, nevermind the pedestal half the fandom puts them on.

My soul also got sucked out by the Sims 3 which is mindblowingly awesome except for the fact that every character is the same height, which really bugs me and a lot of other fans. I understand why it'd be a huge deal to try and animate every interaction for every possible height combination but...I want midgets and giants. And a Sweden that is actually taller than Finland dammit!

Non-computery activities have been wandering around my neighborhood listening to Nanne Gronvall (totally kickass Swedish singer/band that I've only heard 2 songs I like), Fleeticer, Dropkick Murphy's, Nightwish, Sonata Artica (I didn't really like them last summer, but I now realize that they rock) and then coming home dancing till I collapse in my un-airconditioned room. The fact that its un-aircondition/lacking a fan is my fault, mostly for being lazy and hoping that the heat wave will end soon, but partly because when I rearranged my room a couple of months ago I moved a low bureau in front of one window and my bed in front of the other, in such a way that I can't put an airconditioner in either window.

5 days until school pictures. Great. But I get my schedule, so I might as well go. Or I might go just for my schedule, and then get my picture taken at the later one, because having school picture day in August is a horrible idea. My classes for this year: Honors Physics, Honors Calculus, AP Psychology, Photojournalism, English for the Modern World, Constitutional Law, World Religion, and Photography. So I definitely upped the number of fluffy courses from last year when I took 6 academics, 5 of which were honors or higher. So that wasn't fun.

On top of everything else going on, our washing machine is broken. It broke yesterday night apparently, when my brother was doing clothes. I missed my last laundry day and I'm totally out of clean clothes I'm willing to wear. The Tampa Bay Rays shirt that was forced upon me for free at the game we went to in Florida doesn't acutally count as clothing. More of a thing to beat up when we lose to them. I can't wear my Lucic FIGHT CLUB tshirt because it is obviously related to hockey, the Bruins, and encourages fighting in hockey. Since my mother is the only one around to see my clothes other than me and she makes no secret of hating that I'm into all three... I'd rather not provoke her, as we are the only two in the house more than half the day usually, and peace is nice.

Hockey. Yay! Season starts in October and the pre-season games start September 14th. Training camp starts when school does and homigod I cannot wait till broadcast begins again. Reading blogs and the weekly newsarticle isn't enough and neither are watching classic games that the Bruins are never in because the classic games are from when the Kings were good and the Red Wings sucked. Luckily NHLnetwork broadcast more recent playoffs than just the classics, but the Bruins still aren't in them because until Julien arrived two seasons ago we sucked. I've seen two Bruins games, two, since the heartbreaker that was game 7 with Carolina, one on hulu against the Avs earlier in the 08-09 season and game 4 against the Habs of the 2009 playoffs. Good games, but the sweep of the Habs wasn't as fun to watch as when we actually swept them.

Wow that was a long ramble. Possibly because of the limited human contact I've had for the past few weeks.
